Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Channel partner development
Main Activities:
  • Implement marketing programs to motivate channel partners & achieve business objectives.
  • Work closely with dormant resellers/master dealers to reactivate.
  • Identify potential reseller needs and interests
  • Analyze channel partners’ sales and industry trends and make appropriate recommendations on strategies to improve/enhance sales.
  • Work with product managers to manage channel partners’ price discount or sales promotion support requests.
  • Active engagement of top 20% resellers & master dealers to increase depth of sales.
Outcome:
  • Achieve sales targets & other marketing objectives. Motivated channel partners.
  • Revival of dormant resellers/master dealers’ sales.
  • Effectively communicate benefits and opportunities available to meet needs and interests.
  • Long-range planning needs are met. Sales recovery and sales over-achievement.
  • Timely response to channel partners’ request.
  •  Top of mindshare. Increased sales.

Channel partner recruitments

Main Activities:
  • Implement channel partner recruitment strategies.
    - Identify, profile & assess candidates
    - Undertake negotiations of terms & deliverables
    - Appoint
  • Support resellers/master dealers in their initial sales engagement activities.
Outcome:
  • Partners recruited meets criteria & objectives. Channel agreement administered & signed timely.
  • Resellers/master dealers are confident in their promotion of Epson products.

Marketing support

Main Activities:
  • Participate in the setting up, manning and tearing down of public events like exhibitions, seminars & roadshows etc.
  • Support product managers in providing product trainings to channel partners when required.
  • Provide sales forecast to product managers to estimate requirements and closing sales.
Outcome:
  • Event executed in timely & professional manner in accordance to objectives.
  • Channel partners are confident and understand Epson products’ value well.
  • Timely submission of fairly accurate sales forecast.

Reporting & administration

Main Activities:
  • Attend all necessary scheduled/unscheduled meetings.
  • Prepare & submit all required reports.
  • Collect & analyse channel partners’ sales report.
  • Collect all necessary supporting documents related to sales promotions to facilitate post-promotion administration.
Outcome:
  • Positive outcomes with active participations in the discussions.
  • Timely and accurate reporting.
  • Insightful analysis of channel partners’ sales performance to support decision-making.
  • Timely collection & submission of documents.
MAJOR CHALLENGES:
  • Resolving channel partner conflicts. Exercise fairness in accordance to rules and in the best interest of Epson business.
  • Assessing sales potential. Close contact with resellers to acquire updated and accurate market trends. Establishing close/trusted relationship with channel partners.
KEY DECISIONS/DIMENSIONS:
  • Prioritizing work based on strategic potential and effort/resource required.
  • Number of channel partners managed.

Job Requirements

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor degree in Marketing or equivalent from a recognized institution.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
  • At least 2 years of working experience in the Information Technology industry in a sales role. (P2 classification)

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS & BEHAVIOURS
  • Personal Effectiveness/Credibility.
  • Problem Solving/Analysis.
  • Results Driven.
  • Good communication skills in both native and English
